Track and field athletes from Trimble County and Carroll County competed in Bearcat Clash at Walton-Verona on Friday, April 12.

Senior Rebecca Kainer led Trimble County with a third place in the 100-meter dash. Kainer ran a 13:47.

Owen Jackson finished 12th in the boys 100-meter dash in 12.29 and Autrie Bremer also competed in the girls 100 finishing 34th in 16.49 in what was a massive field in the event.

Adree Dermon led Carroll County with a 14th place in the girls 100 in 14.42 while Angel Harney was 36th in 18.48.

Lacie Gross competed for Carroll County in the girls 100 meter hurdles, placing 16th in 42.64.

Carroll County’s Traiven Bays placed 22nd in the boys 100 meter dash in 13.72.

Other teams competing in the Bearcat Clash were: Bishop Brossart, Boone County, Campbell County, Conner, Cooper, Gallatin County, Green County, Highlands, Highlands B, Covington Holy Cross, Lloyd Memorial, Lloyd Memorial B, Mason (Ohio), Ryle and Sycamore (Ohio).
